Overview

At Lupa, we're hiring a Manager, Strategic Finance for a fast-growing, vertically integrated fiber internet provider serving customers across Colombia and expanding internationally. Backed by a recently closed $40M Series B and top-tier investors, this is a company building its own network infrastructure and software — a genuinely capital-intensive, high-velocity business with big strategic decisions on the table.

This is a strategic analysis and decision-support seat, first and foremost. You'll be the analytical horsepower behind the company's biggest bets — pricing, expansion, M&A, competitive response — and you'll support the VP of Finance on capital raises, diligence, and investor relations. If you love taking an ambiguous question and turning it into a defensible, board-ready recommendation, this is your kind of role.

You'll join a lean, hungry finance team at a company that's the belle of the ball in LATAM: strong brand, strong funding, and a leadership team that mixes US pedigree with LATAM roots. For the right person, this is a chance to punch above your weight and shape decisions that move the business.

What You'll Do

  • Lead ad-hoc analysis on major strategic questions and drive the resulting decisions through the business

  • Evaluate M&A, partnership, and market-expansion opportunities — and build the business case

  • Build competitive and market intelligence: benchmarking, market sizing, and positioning

  • Develop strategic frameworks (expansion IRR, unit economics at scale, scenario trade-offs) through to implementation

  • Proactively surface strategic risks and opportunities, with clear recommendations

  • Support modeling for strategic decisions — M&A cases, financing scenarios, capital-structure trade-offs

  • Build and maintain standalone models for initiatives outside the core FP&A model

  • Stress-test assumptions on major financial decisions before they reach the board

  • Support capital raise processes (equity and debt): data room prep, diligence responses, and potentially leading fundraising workstreams

  • Support investor-facing materials and board narrative

  • Assist with cap table and equity administration tracking

  • Help manage the investor and lender relationship calendar

Who You Are

Must-haves

  • Pre-MBA or MBA experience in investment banking, private equity, or growth equity — this is the technical-horsepower anchor of the role

  • Demonstrated ability to run ad-hoc financial/strategic analysis that leads to real business decisions, with strong velocity and thoroughness

  • Strong financial modeling skills — complex scenario and decision models

  • Full bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (written and spoken)

  • AI-native — demonstrable use of AI in modeling, analysis, and drafting

  • Polished communicator, credible with leadership, investors, and lenders

  • Sharp analytical thinker with high editorial standards on investor/board materials

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA (new or recent grad), ideally with a management consulting stint layered onto the banking/PE background

  • Exposure to capital raise or diligence processes

  • Background in telecoms, ISP, infrastructure, or subscription businesses (capital-intensive, CapEx-heavy environments are a strong plus)

  • Experience with LATAM capital markets or cross-border financing

  • Experience with debt financing / credit facilities

What's In It For You

  • Compensation: Competitive, top-of-market pay for top talent. Target range approximately COP $25–35M/month (roughly USD $8,000–10,000/month), calibrated to experience and location.

  • Location: Medellín or Bogotá preferred; open to other LATAM cities, plus Miami, Houston, and NYC. Native/strong Spanish speaker required.

  • Work model: Remote-friendly with light, ad-hoc travel to Medellín — approximately 10–20% of time, as needed (lighter than other finance roles on the team).

  • Reporting & scope: Reports to the VP of Finance. Individual contributor with no direct reports initially.

  • Growth: High-visibility seat with direct exposure to executive leadership, investors, and lenders at a Series B company scaling fast — a strong platform for career acceleration as the company moves toward its next raise.

  • Benefits: Standard benefits package aligned to your hiring geography and employment model (local entity, contractor, or EOR).

Application

If you're an ex-banker or investor with the analytical horsepower to turn tough questions into board-ready answers, we'd love to hear from you. Apply through Lupa and a specialist finance recruiter will personally review your background — no black holes, no generic screens. Take the next step and let's talk.
