Overview

At Lupa, we're hiring for a Director of Web & Digital Experience to lead the web and digital strategy for a fast-scaling, privately held group of companies serving high-growth, venture-backed employers. This is a senior leadership role based in our Mexico City office — one of the two most senior positions in a rapidly growing creative and digital team.

This is not a "translate what headquarters built" role. You will be the true owner and operator of three distinct company websites, accountable for their technology, performance, and connection to real business goals. If you love owning digital properties end-to-end — from tech stack and sprint planning to traffic strategy and conversion — and you thrive at the intersection of product thinking and marketing, this is a rare opportunity to build something meaningful.

You'll help shape a growing office culture, partner across global and creative teams, and take ownership of the digital experience as it evolves into a genuine growth driver for the business.

What You'll Do

  • Own and operate three company websites end-to-end — including tech stack, operations, sprint planning, and overall performance against business goals.

  • Bring a product-manager mindset to the web: diagnose whether the business faces a traffic problem, a conversion problem, or both, and drive the right solutions.

  • Partner closely with UX, creative, and content teams to deliver a cohesive, high-performing digital experience.

  • Own core KPIs, beginning with form completions/lead conversion, while building a stronger long-term strategy around organic traffic, thought-leadership engagement, and discoverability in an AI-shifting search landscape.

  • Balance traffic growth and conversion optimization roughly equally, with a lean toward getting the right audiences to see and engage with the brand story.

  • Build and lead the digital function, including hiring and managing specialists (e.g., a content/SEO/AB-testing hybrid role, and potentially performance-marketing talent) under you.

  • Potentially help lead a future migration of web properties to a modern platform (e.g., Webflow).

  • (Bonus) Oversee digital media efforts — paid campaigns, PPC, and digital advertising (often agency-managed) — if this falls within your experience.

  • Contribute to a strong, collaborative, in-office culture (three days per week), partnering across teams and helping set the digital standard for the broader organization.

Who You Are

Must-haves

  • A genuine owner-operator of websites — you've held direct business accountability for web properties, not just executed against someone else's strategy.

  • Strong product-manager orientation: you understand the tech stack, how the pieces fit together, and how to build and run a site with a PM mindset.

  • Ability to diagnose site performance holistically and prioritize between traffic and conversion.

  • Experience working with or within Mexico City-headquartered companies, with strong understanding of how to own strategy locally (not simply localize a U.S. strategy).

  • Strong English skills and solid cultural understanding of the U.S. market — often gained through prior experience with a U.S. company and/or study in the U.S.

  • Director-level seniority, presence, and maturity to be one of the most senior leaders in the office.

  • Strong culture fit — collaborative, engaged, and energized by building a team and in-office community.

  • Comfortable working on-site in Mexico City three days per week.

Nice-to-haves

  • Hands-on experience running paid campaigns, PPC, or digital advertising (even via an agency) — this unlocks broader ownership of the full digital world.

  • Background in B2B, E-commerce, or SaaS where you've owned both the site and its conversion pathways.

  • Experience leading platform migrations (e.g., to Webflow).

  • Experience hiring and mentoring performance-marketing, SEO, or content specialists.

What's In It For You

  • Base salary: Competitive USD salary.

  • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package from an organization whose entire heritage is built on world-class benefits and compensation design.

  • Growth: Join at a pivotal moment as the Mexico City office scales from the low-30s toward ~50 people over the next two years — with the chance to shape the digital function, build your own team, and lead high-visibility work.

  • Schedule: Hybrid, three days per week in the Mexico City office.

  • Impact: Real ownership and autonomy — you'll be a senior leader with direct business accountability, not a translator of someone else's roadmap.
