At Lupa, we're hiring for a Forward Deployed Engineer — a hybrid role that blends hands-on software engineering with direct customer collaboration. This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of product and people: you'll embed alongside customers, understand their toughest problems, and build the solutions that solve them in real time.

What You'll Do
Embed with customers to deeply understand their workflows, data, and technical challenges.
Design, build, and deploy custom solutions and integrations on top of our core platform.
Write production-quality code across the stack to solve real customer problems quickly.
Serve as the technical bridge between customers and internal product/engineering teams.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in live environments, often under time pressure.
Gather field insights and feed them back to shape the product roadmap.
Travel to customer sites as needed to support onboarding and deployment.
Who You Are
Must-haves
Strong software engineering fundamentals with proficiency in at least one modern language (e.g., Python, Java, TypeScript, or Go).
Experience building and deploying software in real-world production environments.
Excellent communication skills and comfort working directly with customers and stakeholders.
A problem-solving mindset and the ability to operate independently in ambiguous situations.
Ability to balance speed and quality when delivering solutions.
Nice-to-haves
Prior experience in a forward deployed, solutions engineering, or customer-facing engineering role.
Familiarity with data pipelines, APIs, and systems integration.
Experience working with enterprise or government customers. Comfort with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
