Overview

At Lupa, we're hiring a Material Planner to sit at the critical intersection of supply planning and execution within a fast-moving manufacturing and distribution network. This is a high-energy, high-impact role where you turn the supply plan into reality — managing purchase orders, production orders, inbound materials, and inventory levels so the line never stops and shelves never run dry.

If you love solving daily puzzles, thrive on precision and urgency, and can zoom between the smallest detail and the biggest picture without missing a beat, this is your kind of role. You'll own problems end to end, work across departments, and use modern planning and AI tools to make smart decisions fast.

This is a remote, nearshore opportunity — we're looking for the best talent, and we value candidates who can work closely within U.S.-aligned business hours. This role is open only to candidates based in Colombia or the Dominican Republic. We can't consider applications from other countries.

What You'll Do

MRP / MPS Execution

  • Run MRP outputs in Kinaxis Maestro and Oracle EBS daily; action planned orders, firm planned orders, and reschedule recommendations.

  • Maintain item-level planning parameters: reorder points, safety stock, lot sizes, lead times, and supply horizons.

  • Partner with the Supply Planner to align material availability with the overall supply plan.

Purchase Order & Supplier Management

  • Issue and manage purchase orders for raw materials, packaging, and semi-finished goods; ensure on-time delivery.

  • Communicate proactively with suppliers on order changes, expedites, and shortages.

  • Track open POs and resolve discrepancies across PO, receipt, and invoice (3-way match support).

  • Maintain supplier lead time accuracy in the ERP and escalate performance issues to Procurement.

Inventory Management

  • Monitor on-hand inventory across all storage locations and trigger replenishment to prevent stockouts.

  • Identify and manage excess, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory; recommend disposition actions.

  • Support cycle count and physical inventory processes and resolve discrepancies.

Production & Supply Coordination

  • Release and manage work orders / discrete jobs; ensure materials are ready for scheduled production.

  • Partner with manufacturing and warehouse teams to resolve component shortages before they stop the line.

  • Maintain accurate BOM and routing data in coordination with engineering and planning.

Data, Analytics & AI Tools

  • Use dashboards (e.g., Superset) and Oracle EBS reports to monitor material health, exception queues, and supplier performance — know your exception queue cold every morning.

  • Apply AI productivity tools (such as Claude or Copilot) to speed up exception triage, supplier communication drafts, and repetitive data work.

  • Build and maintain Excel / Power Query tools and actively look for ways to automate manual tasks.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Participate in daily and weekly operational reviews; communicate material risk clearly and concisely.

  • Support the S&OP process with material availability inputs to the Supply Review.

  • Partner with Customer Service on order fulfillment impacts tied to material shortages.

Who You Are

Must-Haves

  • Based in Colombia or the Dominican Republic.

  • Hands-on experience with Kinaxis Maestro (formerly RapidResponse) in a real planning environment.

  • 1–3 years of material planning, production planning, or procurement experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.

  • Working knowledge of MRP/MPS concepts — you understand planned orders, firm planned orders, and lead time logic from real experience.

  • ERP experience (Oracle EBS strongly preferred; SAP, JD Edwards, or similar acceptable — we'll train on the specifics).

  • Analytically driven and proficient in Excel.

  • Detail-oriented with a strong bias for action — you see a problem and own it until it's closed.

  • A clear communicator who surfaces bad news early, with context and a path forward.

  • Able to manage a high volume of concurrent tasks without dropping the ball.

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

  • Fully bilingual (Spanish/English), with strong written and verbal communication in both.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Exposure to other APS/planning platforms beyond Kinaxis Maestro.

  • BI tool exposure (Superset, Power BI, Tableau).

  • Comfort using AI productivity tools to accelerate everyday work.

  • APICS CPIM certification or active pursuit (encouraged and supported).

What's In It For You

  • Competitive, market-aligned compensation. At Lupa, we benchmark every role to its local nearshore market so you're paid fairly and competitively.

  • Remote, day-shift schedule aligned with U.S. business hours — no overnight shifts.

  • Growth and development — support for APICS CPIM certification and the chance to deepen your Kinaxis Maestro and ERP expertise.

  • Modern tooling — work with best-in-class planning, BI, and AI productivity tools.

  • Integrated, meaningful work — this is not a scripted, clerical role. You'll be a true problem-solver embedded in day-to-day operations across supply chain, manufacturing, and customer-facing teams.
