Job Title: Content Design Director

Area: Creative Team

Reports to: CCO

Supervises: Graphic Designers

Hourly Dedication:

Full-time leadership role requiring a strong sense of ownership, with flexibility

and availability to respond to team, client, and business needs beyond regular

working hours when necessary.

Place: The Electric Factory offices or remote (as agreed with HR)

Overall objective:

As Content Design Director, you will lead the vision, direction, and execution of our content design

practice, ensuring The Electric Factory continues to set the standard for creativity, innovation, and

impact across platforms. You will oversee the day-to-day delivery of design campaigns and content

assets with multiple formats such as "digital" and "print" while shaping the long-term evolution of our

design department maintaining effective collaboration with the Experience Design Director and

cross-functional teams. You will work directly with clients to ensure the highest quality of deliverables

and present process improvements through an understanding of business and technology

Primary Responsibilities:

Define and champion the creative vision for content design at TEF , staying ahead of industry

trends, new technologies, and emerging formats to keep our work innovative, engaging, and

relevant.

Oversee the creation and quality of a wide variety of assets including banners, videos, email

campaigns, landing pages, PDFs, mechanicals, motion graphics, and other marketing or

communication deliverables, ensuring consistency in quality, branding, and storytelling.

Mentor, inspire, and manage the Content Design team, assigning designers to projects based

on skill sets and availability, conducting performance reviews, and setting OKRs in partnership

with the CCO. Build a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and craft excellence.

Guide and support delivery for both recurring and project-based clients, ensuring that our

creative output aligns with their business goals while strengthening TEF’s role as a trusted

partner. Act as a trusted voice for clients by deeply understanding their needs, analyzing

challenges, and proactively proposing innovative solutions, practices, and opportunities that

Work with account managers, producers, developers, strategists, and business directors to

deliver integrated campaigns that balance creativity, feasibility, and timelines.

Establish and enforce standards for creativity, innovation, and timely delivery, while identifying

opportunities to improve workflows, adopt new tools, and scale output efficiently.

Continually stay up to date with trends, technologies, and creative innovation in the

marketplace including AI workflows and automation processes, identifying practical

opportunities to improve content creation, streamline repetitive tasks, and optimize the team’s

day-to-day workflows.

Drive the adoption of AI tools and workflows within the Content Design practice to enhance

content creation, optimize production processes, improve efficiency, and scale creative output

while maintaining quality, brand consistency, and human creative judgment.

Comply with and actively support the company's Information Security and Data Protection

policies and procedures, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems

and data

Technical requirements & Competences:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate design

decisions to non-designers in English and Spanish.

Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma, including design systems,

component libraries, and exploration of AI-powered features, plugins, and automation to

improve design workflows and scalability.

Strong understanding of web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Knowledge of design principles for user interfaces and experience (UI/UX).

Strong visual design skills, including a deep understanding of color theory, typography, and

layout design.

Ability to lead a design team and manage design resources to meet internal and external

project deadlines.

Education:Job Description | Content Design Director

Academic:

Bachelor's degree in user experience design, visual communication, or fine arts.

Ongoing professional development and continuing education in emerging technologies

and creative trends are often required to stay current in this rapidly evolving industry.

Languages: Bilingual (English and Spanish)

Experience:

8+ years working as a Designer in a highly digital environment leading a team of designers to

execute high quality project work.

A strong portfolio of work demonstrating expertise in user experience design, user interface

design, and design strategy.
